As students progress in school, the concepts they learn become progressively more complex. Although balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and socialization is a challenge, having study skills gives students the ability to successfully focus on all three. The Academic Success Achievement Program nurtures the many abilities necessary to be successful in school and beyond.
Eventually, these skills will translate from classroom and school life into life in the workforce. ASAP gives students the tools they need to be successful in the present moment. and throughout the lives.
Students will learn how to balance their monthly, weekly, and daily schedules to support both their academics and social lives. This includes knowing how to break down short and long term assignments .
Organization
Students will learn how to create study aids, take productive notes, read effectively, highlight important information, and strengthen critical thinking skills.
Students will learn how to productively prepare for a take a variety of tests such as multiple choice, true and false, fill in the blank, matching, and essay assessments.
Both individual and group activities benefit students' learning and growing. Here's how:
After engaging presentations, Dr. Schwab leads students in individual activities which boost their critical thinking skills. This allows them to work on their own, cultivating them into learners who can manage their schedules and workloads without assistance.
Along with individual activities, students participate in group activities and projects which enhance their ability to collaborate with others. These practical and fun tasks engage the students while helping them build their critical thinking even further.
